Indian teams easily won both recurve gold medals to match England's efforts in the compound section on the third day of the International archery test event for the Commonwealth Games at the Yamuna Sports Complex here on Thursday.

After settling for lesser medals in the compound section, the Indian men and women easily defeated Malaysia in the two team finals of the recurve category.

The trio of Kapil, Mangal Singh Champia and Tarundeep Rai won 218-211 against their Malaysian counterparts while Dola Banerjee, Rimil Buruily and Bombayala Devi Laishram contributed to India's easy 204-190 win.

In the compound final, the Indian ladies lost narrowly to England following a tie-shoot after the teams were tied at 222. The tie was broken with England shooting a perfect 30 against India's 25.

Earlier, the Indian men who lost to England by just a point in the compound semifinal, settled for the bronze medal after a comfortable triumph over Wales.

Women: Recurve: Final: India (Dola Banerjee, Rimil Buruily and Bombayala Devi Laishram) 204 beat Malaysia (Anbarasi Subramanium, Noor Aziera Taip and Beatic Wong Zhai) 190; Third place: Singapore 190 bt Wales 183; Semifinals: India 205 bt Singapore 168; Malaysia 193 bt Wales 153.
