Indian duo at top spot after two races in Incheon Asiad sailing event

Varsha Gautham and Aishwarya Nedunchezhiyan were on top of the heap of six teams in the 12-race event.

Indian sailors Varsha Gautham and Aishwarya Nedunchezhiyan occupied the top spot after two races in Women’s 29er-Two Person Dinghy event on the first day of competition in the discipline at the Asian Games in Incheon on Wednesday.

Gautham and Nedunchezhiyan were on top of the heap of six teams in the 12-race event which will continue till September 30, 2014.

Meanwhile, 12-year-old Chitresh Tatha occupied the seventh spot after two races in the Optimist-Men’s One Person Dinghy event at Wangsan Sailing Marina Area in Incheon.

Ramya Saravanan was at sixth after two races in Optimist-Women’s One Person Dinghy event while Nethra Kumnan occupied fifth after two races in Laser Radial-Women’s One Person Dinghy event.
