Hossain maintains lead

Bangladesh GM Enamul Hossain maintained his sole lead, half-a-point ahead of seven others who are on 7.5 points, at the end of the 10th and penultimate round of the Vizag GM international open chess tournament at the Port stadium here on Friday.

Hossain and FM Diptyan Ghosh played out draw making the mandatory number of moves on the top board.

Some upsets were witnessed in this round with FM Shardul Gagare beating GM Abdulla Al-Rakib and G.B. Joshi defeating GM Raset Ziatdinov. Akshat Chandra held GM Harutjunyan Gevorg to a draw.
