Squash player Dipika Pallikal, No. 15 in the women's world rankings, has been signed on by Herbalife , a global nutrition company.
The association was announced at a function organised on Tuesday. Other Indian sportspersons attached to the same company include Saina Nehwal, Somdev Devvarman, Virat Kohli and boxer M.C. Mary Kom.
“It's an honour being part of a group that includes Saina and Somdev. Squash in India has been moving in the right direction. Joshna (Chinappa), Saurav (Ghosal) and I have been regulars on the tour and things can only get better from here,” said the 20-year-old in a faux American twang.
“This is our fifth such sports association. We welcome Dipika into our family of young sports achievers and wish her all the best in her future endeavours,” said Ajay Khanna, country head, Herbalife .
