Harika grabs chess bronze

India’s Harika Dronavalli claimed the bronze in the women’s individual chess at the Asian Games here on Tuesday.

Chinese top-seed Hou Yifan won the gold while compatriot Zhao Xue got the silver.

Grand Master Yifan won seven rounds and drew one to score 7.5 points. Xue, also a grand master, won six matches, drew one and lost one to finish with 6.5 points. Harika, with five wins, two losses and one draw, scored 5.5 points to come third.
