Gold for Sahoo, Raka Roy

Pramod Chandra Sahoo of Odisha and Raka Nilanjana Roy of West Bengal won gold medals in the trap event of the third Eastern India shooting championship at Midnapur on Friday.

The West Bengal men's team won the gold medal with Jharkhand picking up silver and Odisha the bronze.

The results:Trap: Men: 1. P.C. Sahoo (Odi), 2. Siddhartha Mullick (WB), 3. Partha Pratim Dutt (WB). Team: 1. WB, 2. Jharkhand, 3. Odisha. Women: 1. Raka Nilanjana Roy (WB), 2. Sohini Maity (WB), 3. Sikha Mondal (WB).

State meet: Men: 1. S. Mullick (Midnapur), 2. P.P. Dutt (North Kolkata), 3. Bappaditya Kali (Mid). Team: 1. Midnapur Rifle Club, 2. North Kolkata, 3. South Kolkata.

Women: 1. R.N. Roy (Midnapur), 2. Sohini Maity (Mid), 3. Sikha Mondal (Sreerampur).

Police (special category): 1. Sourav Mondal (Kol), 2. Surajit Gupta (Kol), 3. M.K. Biswas (Kol).
