Five share lead after first round

Five players were tied for the top spot at four-under 68 on the opening day of the Hemisphere PGTI Masters at the Noida Golf Course here on Tuesday.

Chandigarh golfer Ranjit Singh displayed a flawless performance while rookie Pratap Atwal, Chiragh Kumar, Mukesh Kumar and local favourite Amardip Sinh Malik also did well to share the lead.

The scores:

68: Chiragh Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Ranjit Singh, Pratap Atwal, Amardip Sinh Malik.

69: Digvijay Singh, Harendra Gupta, Pradyumna Barbora, Vikrant Chopra, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Sanjay Kumar, S. Chikkarangappa.

70: Angad Cheema, Mohammad Zamal Hossain Mollah, Pradeep Kumar, Anirudh Goyal, Vishal Singh, C. Muniyappa, Siddharth Semwal.
