FIDE Women’s Grand Prix: Humpy aims at a strong finish

Koneru Humpy looked comfortable going into the ninth round, after Tuesday’s rest day, in the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix chess tournament at Dilijan, Armenia.

The standings (after eight rounds): 1. Koneru Humpy (Ind) 6; 2. Anna Muzychuk (Slo) 5.5; 3-4. Tatiana Kosintseva (Rus) & Nana Dzagnidze (Geo) 4.5; 5-7. Tuvshintugs Batchimeg (Mgl), Anna Ushenina (Ukr) and Olga Girya (Rus) 4; 8-9. Viktorija Cymlite (Ltu) and D. Harika (Ind) 3.5; Antoaneta Stefanova (Bul) & Bela Khotenashvili (Geo) 3; 12. Elina Danielian (Arm) 2.5.
