Indian lifters have bagged 10 medals, including eight golds, in the inaugural South Asian weightlifting championship at Nepalgunj, Nepal.

The medallists: Men: Gold: 62kg: D. Senthamizh Selvan (snatch-113kg, clean and jerk-140kg, total-253kg); 77kg: S. Sathish Kumar (128kg, 161kg, 289kg); 85kg: Jasvant Singh (126kg, 150kg, 276kg); 105kg: V.A. Christopher (145kg, 180kg, 325kg); Above-105kg: Himanshu Kumar Chang (146kg, 179kg, 325kg).

Bronze: 77kg: Ajaydeep Sarang (122kg, 158kg, 280kg).

Women: Gold: 53kg: Tikina Gopal (68kg, 85kg, 153kg); 58kg: Minati Sethi (70kg, 92kg, 162kg); 63kg: Seeta Jena (69kg, 102kg, 171kg);

Silver: 63kg: Rajwant Kaur (4kg, 97kg, 171kg).
