Indian rider Dilip Rogger made a successful comeback to international racing after getting a double podium finish in the final round of the Losail Asian super series championship in the 600cc category here on Sunday.
Rogger finished third in Race 1 while he went one better and finished in second place in Race 2 in his first ever night race at the Losail International Circuit.
With his limited running on the track, Rogger gradually got faster as the race weekend went on and had a good start in Race 1. However, he went on to finish in third place as he could not match the pace of the leaders.
In Race 2, he benefitted from a crash between two riders ahead of him to move up to second place and stay there till the finish.
Rogger, satisfied with his race return, said: “It felt great to be racing again wheel-to-wheel.
“This whole weekend was about learning the track and improving over the weekend. I am really happy to get podiums in both races of our 600cc category.”
