February 04, 2011 12:30 am | Updated 12:30 am IST - CHENNAI:

Top Indian squash player Dipika Pallikal reached her career-best ranking in WISPA by rising to the 24th spot. This is the best-ever ranking for an Indian woman, bettering Misha Grewal's 27 achieved in 1995.

Dipika is now at the same level as Saurav Ghosal who dropped from 23 to 24 in the men's PSA ranking this month.

The Indian girl, who crossed 19 recently, held the World junior No. 1 spot until she switched over to the senior ranks. Dipika is the reigning Asian junior champion.
