Eleventh seed Dipika Pallikal entered the second round of the Hi-Tec Australian Open squash tournament in Canberra with an 11-5, 11-2, 11-5 win over Australia’s Christine Nunn in 28 minutes. She next plays France’s Camille Serme, the sixth seed.

In another first round match, second seed Jenny Duncalf beat Joshna Chinappa 11-7, 11-7, 13-11.
