Deepika Kumari’s victory hailed by her state association

Commonwealth Games gold medalist Deepika Kumari’s performance at the World Archery Championship in Istanbul, where she bagged the silver medal today, was hailed by the Tata Archery Academy and Jharkhand Archery Association today.

“It is a great achievement and this win will certainly boost her confidence level for the London Olympics slated next for year,” Sanjib Paul, President of JAA, said.

Paul said that Deepika had been performing quite consistently at ithe nternational level and expressed confidence that she would bag her first gold in archery in the next edition of Olympics.

The Chief Coach of TAA, Dharmendra Tiwari, described the victory as a “big achievement ahead of Olympics games next year.”

“The victory will certainly enhance her confidence level further as she has been doing well consistently,” Tiwari told PTI.

Tiwari informed altogether Deepika had won six medals this year including Asian championship and world championship.
