J. Deepan Chakkravarthy and R.R. Laxman (six points) shared the lead with Adam Tukaev (Ukraine) and Ivan Rozum (Russia) after the seventh round of the 10th Chennai Open Grandmaster chess tournament on Monday.

Woman FIDE Master and World u-12 champion Divya Deshmukh went down in a hard-fought battle to Muhammad Khusenkhojaev of Tajikistan.
