Deepak, Gaurav win medals

Deepak Kumar won the men’s air rifle silver in the third match of the Intershoot international shooting competition here on Sunday.

In men’s air pistol, Gaurav Tomar won the bronze, as four Indians made the final, with Om Prakash Mitharwal compiling a high score of 585.

The results: 10m air rifle: 1. Jack Bale (GBr) 248.6 (620.8); 2. Deepak Kumar 248.2 (627.7); 3. Aribam Dicky Sharma 226.6 (618.4).

Junior men: 1. Mauricio Gonzalez (Mex) 243.2 (615.0); 2. Avinash Yadav 243.1 (622.1); 3. William Gryden (Swe) 222.9 (614.7).

10m air pistol: Men: 1. Joa Costa (Por) 241.7 (586); 2. Felipe Wu (Bra) 241.4 (586); 3. Gaurav Tomar 221.1 (576).

Junior men: 1. Jimenez Fernandez Gonzalez (Ger) 237.9 (573); 2. Jerome Son (Bel) 234.7 (569); 3. Omar Abdelfatah (Egy) 210.8 (554).
