Alberto Contador of Spain speeds down the Champs Elysees during the 20th and last stage of the Tour de France cycling race in 2010.

Spanish cycling professional Alberto Contador tested positive for doping four times during his victorious 2010 Tour de France the Spanish sports paper Marca said Tuesday.

Marca said that a report issued by the Spanish cycling federation RFEC said that the three-time Tour champion Contador tested positive for clenbuterol on four consecutive days and should be banned for a year.

Contador last week appealed against the one year ban, claiming that the positive result came from contaminated meat.
