CM’s award for coaches

The Tamil Nadu Government has instituted a Chief Minister’s award for two coaches and two physical directors for proven excellence in producing top-flight sportspersons. Each award winner will get Rs. 1 lakh and a citation.

Applications are invited for the year 2012-2013 from SDAT/SAI and other coaches as also PETs/PDs of schools domiciled in Tamil Nadu for the past three years.

Three years consistent performance (April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2012) alone will be considered, according to an SDAT press release.

The PETs/PDs should route their applications through the head of the institution and with the specific recommendation of the Chief Educational Officer.

Application forms for the award may be downloaded from SDAT website www.sdat.in and the filled in applications placed in a cover superscribed ‘Application for Chief Minister’s award’ should reach The Member-Secretary, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu, 116-A, Periyar EVR High Road, Nehru Park, Chennai-84 by March 30-3-2013.
