Ram Aravind (TN) and N. Priyanka (AP), overnight leaders and top seeds, inched closer to the National under-11 titles after the 10th and penultimate round here on Monday.

Aravind drew with Tamil Nadu teammate R. Praggnanandhaa in 59 moves, after missing a possible victory, to reach nine points. He is followed by AP’s Rahul Srivatshav at 8.5 points.

In the girls’ section, Priyanka scored her ninth victory by outplaying Orissa’s Anwesha Mishra.
