Chawla takes out Yash

Ketan Chawla took out K. Yash 105-4, 83-8, 67-41 in a group stage match of the Senior National men’s snooker championship, at KSBA here on Tuesday.

Madhya Pradesh’s Ketan recorded breaks of 52, 53 and 78 in a facile victory.

Railways’ Kamal Chawla racked up a 96-break in his 96-0, 73-24, 72-35 win over West Bengal’s K. Ankit.

Both Ketan and Kamal advanced to the last-64 knockout round, which will be held on Wednesday.

The duo will be joined by likes of Pankaj Advani, Dharmender Lilly, Lucky Vatvani, Ishpreet Chadha, Manan Chandra and Brijesh Damani among others.

In the women’s snooker event, Karnataka’s Vidya Pillai defeated Tamil Nadu’s Neena Praveen 71-27, 63-15.
