Crompton Greaves on Sunday announced that it will continue to be part of the PGTI calendar and sponsor the CG Open for another three years.
The announcement was made by Laurent Demortier, CEO & Managing Director, Crompton Greaves. “We are delighted to announce the continuation of the CG Open for the next three years with a prize purse of Rs. 1 crore.
“CG is committed to partnering PGTI for the promotion and growth of professional golf in India. We believe there is potential and talent in the country and maximum playing opportunities need to be created for the professionals.
“We are confident our partnership will add value and give further impetus to the fastest-growing sport in the country,” said Demortier.
PGTI Director Padamjit Sandhu said: “We are excited retaining the CG Open on our calendar. We thank it for the long-term commitment to professional golf in India. The CG Open has been the premier golfing event in the financial capital of the country for the last six years. We are confident this event will go from strength to strength in the coming years.”
Rashid’s team wins
Delhi’s Rashid Khan and his team won the Pro-Am event of the CG Open here on Sunday. Rashid’s team comprising Hiren Pandit, Brijender Singh and Milind Kamat won with a score of 54.1 points.
