Manu Bhaker and Om Prakash Mitharval combined strongly to strike a World record 778 in qualification but missed a medal in the mixed air pistol team competition in the shooting World Cup here on Thursday. Manu and Om Prakash shot 392 and 386 respectively to top the table in qualification.
In men’s 50-metre rifle 3-position event, CWG gold medallist Sanjeev Rajput qualified with a total of 1178, but ended up eighth.
Anjum Moudgil, Tejaswini Sawant and Gaayathri Nithyanandam passed the elimination round to qualify for the women’s 50-metre rifle 3-position competition.
