Saurav Ghosal has termed the Asian Games performance the “high point” of his career.
“The last week has been amazing as I had always dreamt of winning a gold for the country. I felt we have achieved something unbelievable,” Ghosal told The Hindu .
He said that the medals he won at Incheon would inspire him to go higher. “I would like to break into the top-10 (he is World No. 16 now). I feel this is the beginning of a long journey,” said the 28-year-old.
Ghosal also thanked his younger teammates — Harinderpal Singh Sandhu, Mahesh Mangaonkar and Kush Kumar — for playing an “equal” part in the gold medal-winning performance.
