The Bahrain Grand Prix on April 6 will be a night race under floodlights.

The Singapore Grand Prix in September is held at night and Bahrain will become the second evening race, the Formula One website said on Wednesday.

Singapore has held its Grand Prix in the evening since 2008, while the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is a day-into-night race.

The Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sakhir track, which had floodlights installed last year, celebrates its 10th anniversary this season. The race will begin at 1500 GMT with qualifying starting at the same time the day before the race.

The Formula One season starts in Melbourne on March 16.
