Atwal practises with Woods

June 16, 2010 04:11 pm | Updated 04:11 pm IST - Pebble Beach (California)

Arjun Atwal, the lone Indian in fray, played two practice rounds with buddy Tiger Woods but will have the American duo of Jason Gore and Jim Herman for company in the first two rounds of the US Open starting here on Thursday.

Atwal, primed for his maiden US Open appearance at the Pebble Beach Golf Links, played two practice rounds yesterday with his Florida neighbour and friend from Isleworth Country Club Woods, along with Dustin Johnson.

Atwal and Woods appeared together again today, this time Joseph Bramlett replacing Johnson.

The lanky Indian booked one of the seven tickets up for grabs at the Woodmont Country Club last week.
