Asian Games: India beats Qatar in men’s compound archery elimination

The Indian team defeated Qatar 233-218 in the compound men’s team round-of -16 elimination round to move into the quarterfinals of the 17th Asian Games in Incheon on Thursday.

The Indians will take on Malaysia in the quarterfinals later.

In the match, India had 17 10’s and 10 X’s (number of inner 10’s) to Qatar’s 10 and 5 respectively.

In the women’s compound team, India overcame Kazakhstan to set up a semifinal clash with China.

The final scoreline read 223-223 leading to a shoot-off where India prevailed 29-25 over their spirited opponents.
