The Indian junior women missed the air rifle gold by one point losing it to China in the fifth Asian Air Gun championship in Nanchang, China, on Saturday. Shalini Chahar (395), Tejaswini Muley (395) and Apurvi Chandela (396) finished sixth to eighth in the individual event, but their combined consistency fetched the silver medal for the team.
In the youth women air pistol event, Apsara missed the bronze medal by 0.7 point. The Indian team also missed the bronze medal by two points to Thailand.
The men’s pistol shooters missed the team bronze on the count-back after having tied with Vietnam on 1731.
