That is my exit cue. But do stick around as Swaroop Swaminathan is here to take you through to the close of all the acton.

The Iranian girl are protesting with the officials about the points. It is all happening here.

14:11 India have won the Kabaddi semifinal against Iran 23-22. Iran are distraught while India are ecstatic. Oh dear. The agony and the ecstacy.

14:05 India were leading comfortably at 16-13 some ten minutes back. It is now 17-17 and Iran are more than pumped up.

14:00 Iran have levelled proceedings at 16-16,

13:56 Another tactical timeout with India leading 16-14. Does not timeouts disrupt the flow? Rather go with the adrenaline rush instead of playing the waiting game, methinks.

13:53: India take the lead 15-13.

13:49: Mamta, the star Inmdian raider, is pinned by the Iranian stoppers. 12-10 to Iran now. Iran playing out of their skins here!

13:45: The dancers come onto the court to entertain the crowd while the players gather for a team talk.

13:43: Thailand beat Malaysia in the other semifinals and progressed to the final.

13:42: India facing Iran in the women's kabaddi semifinals. Iran leading 11-8, would you believe it!

13:13: The Indian team's body language clearly suggest they haven't over their shock defeat to Malaysia yet. No celebrations after the bronze, barely any emotion.

12:55: India beat South Korea to take bronze! India hold on to single goal advantage to defeat the skilled Koreans. Consolation for India after that heart breaking loss to Malaysia in the semifinals.

12:52: 3 minutes seperates India from bronze

12:51: India once again close to scoring a second. Chaos near the goal as the ball is reverse flicked and blocked by the Korean goalkeeper.

12:46: Just 9 minutes to go. Can India hold on?

12:42: India searching for the second goal. No backing down even after taking the lead.

12:39: Penalty corner for South Korea. Huge protest from the Indians but the ref sticks to his guns. Doesn't matter though, the penalty corner goes wide.

12:32: India nearly double their lead. Rajpal fails to reach a pass right in front of goal. Would have been an easy tap-in if he could reach it.

12:31: Korea pressing for the equaliser but the Indian defence holding firm.

12:27: Tushar Kandekar makes a run down the left, and hits a reverse flick. Saved by the custodian with his legs. Excellent effort from Tushar.

12:35: Vidya S Shetty: "Just want to wish Good Luck to my niece Ashwini A C for her 400m hurdles. And of course, good luck to all of our team."

12:22: Tushar scores! India 1-0 up with 30 minutes remaining in the match. Tushar recieves a pass which cuts across the face of goal. He is unmarked barely 5 feet from goal, traps it and taps it in.

12:20: Fresh 35 minutes so let us see if this brings any goals.

12:17: Minutes away from second half action.

12:07: A steady first-half comes to a close, 0-0. Korea being the more attacking team, India content with playing safe. Let's hope for a goal or two in the second half.

12:02: The commentator describes the Indian effort as 'passive'. Fair assessment.

12:02: Can I take a minute to mention a little more on India's participation in athletics today? Prashant Arya has rightly brought to our attention that we should not forget the 400m hurdles, where Akkunji and Murmu qualified with best times.

11:55: India almost score from a penalty corner! A dummy is played and the shot is blocked on the goalline by a Korean defender.

0-0 with 12 minutes to go for the half.

11:53: Both teams playing within themselves. More of a tactical possession battle rather than all-out attack.

11:50: Penalty corner brilliantly saved by a diving Bharat Chetri. India off the hook thanks to some good goalkeeping.

11:49: Another penalty corner for South Korea. Will India pay this time?

11:45: Both sides not showing too much attacking intent and we're yet to see the first goal. 20 minutes left in the half.

11:43: Penalty corner for South Korea but the shot saved by Chetri.

11:40: Not the best game in terms of attacking play, but engrossing nevertheless. Goalless with 26 minutes to go in the first half.

11:34 South Korea pushing India's defence in the early minutes of the match.

11:32: And we're off with the hockey bronze medal match! India in the dark blue, Korea in light blue

11:29: We have quite a bit of athletics coming up later in the afternoon. Tintu Lukka in the women's 800m looks a strong contender. Satti Geetha in the finals of the women's 200m. Exciting times ahead.

11:09: India's bronze medal hockey match against South Korea is scheduled to start at 11.30 a.m. IST. Showpiece event of the day for Indian fans.

10:59: Prashant Arya: 'Is there any wrestler in contention for repecheage bronze today?' Yes Prashanth, Khatri Mausam will take part in the men's 96kg freestyle repechage (round 1). The bout will start at around 1.30 p.m. IST.

10:56: South Korea and Japan tied at 6-6. Early stages of the match.

10:43: Get ready for basketball. South Korea against Japan.

10:26: Pakistan lose to Afghanistan in men's cricket. So Pakistan crashes out in the semifinals. They required 126 to win in 20 overs, but somehoe figured out a way to botch it up. End result - Pakistan lose by 22 runs.

Moving away from the Asian Games for just a minute to talk about the Ashes. England on 172 for 4 in the first day of the first Test. I have been looking forward to this series for a long time. Pretty good timing, I'll be more than occupied with the Ashes after the Asian Games finishes on Saturday.

10:19: Watch out for Dinesh Kumar and Vikas Krishan, they will compete for gold in boxing later in the afternoon.

10:16: A.R. Bhadran wants to know how sepaktakraw is played. Bhadran, it's very simple. It is volleyball, but no hands, only the legs. Tests your juggling skills to the extreme. Your flexibility is tested too, because you have to raise your leg well above your head to get in a smash.

10:15: India finish seventh in the Men's Kayak Four 1000m

09:42: 68 for 5. Afghanistan on a roll here.

09:41: 68 for 4 now. Apparently even the second string Pakistan team is prone to batting collapses.

09:34: Pakistan making heavy weather of their cricket match against Afghanistan. They need 126 to win, and are on 63 for 3 in 12 overs. They need 63 to win in 8 overs, a shade under 8 per over required. Not the time to panic, but a big over is needed rightaway.

09:24: Our old friend Ramya asks about possible Indian interest in rhythmic gymnastics. Ramya, there are no Indians in the fray.

09:18: Nicol David victorious, Malaysia gets gold in the women's team event.

09:16: Nicol beat Au Wing in ther finals of the individual event. She looks set to repeat the resuly here. Who will stop Nicol David? I demand an answer.

09:13: Nicol David leads 2-0 against Au Wing. Can anyone stop Nicol?

08:53: Must remind our readers that India has not had the best of it in wrestling. PTI has this: Indian grapplers' dismal show in the Asian Games continued with Mausam Khatri and Rajeev Tomar crashing out in the first round of the men’s fresstyle competitions here today

08:53: This is the women's team finals. Nicol against Au Wing. Nicol win the first game.

08:51: World squash champion Nicol David on court now.

08:31: Japan win 2-1 against India in sepaktakraw. India fought hard, and ran Japan really close. Lost in the tie breaker, but India have given a great account of themselves here.

In terms of skill required, I think sepaktakraw is one of the toughest sports around. Very difficult to compare sports, but sepak looks insanely hard to master!

08:28: On to sepaktakraw. Taking on Japan in a round robin game. 13-11 to Japan in the tie breaker.

08:25: India easily dispose of Japan in the kabaddi semis. They will take on Iran in the final.

08:16: 47-15 and India have pretty much booked a place in the final.

08:07: Getting a bit one-sided now. India proving why they are miles ahead in this sport. 33-7.

08:03: The second half of the kabaddi semis begins. India up by 20. 27-7. The Japanese have some fancy footwork, using their martial arts training to get a tag.

08:02: Jamesboy Singh finishes 8th in the Men's Canoe Single 1000m Final

Pakistan lost to Iran in the earlier semifinal.

07:58: India have opened a big lead now. 26-5 now.

07:45: 12-3 now. But Japan are no pushovers. They are making India work for their points.

07:43: Kabaddi semifinals now. India taking on Japan. India lead 7-3.

07:41: Nirmala loses on points in the elimination match. They were playing for a place in the quarterfinals.

07:38: Let's head to Women's Freestyle 48 kg wrestling action. India Nirmala against Eshimova of Kazakhstan.
