Sushil Kumar became the first Indian athlete to win two Olympic medals in individual events when he won the silver medal in men’s 66kg freestyle wrestling on Sunday.

Despite losing in the final, Sushil Kumar helped lift the nation’s mood on the final day of an Olympics campaign which delighted and disappointed in equal measure.

The two-time Olympics medallist can now rightfully claim a place among India’s best Olympians, if not the best ever. Sushil has a gold medal from 2010 world championships.
