Sahara to reward winners

Sahara India Pariwar, on Thursday, said it would reward gold medal winners at the London Olympics with a five kg medal of pure gold (each worth approximately Rs.1.45 crore), silver medal winners with three kg gold medal (worth approximately Rs. 87 lakh) and bronze medal winners with a two kg gold medal each (worth approximately Rs. 58 lakh).

A press release from the Sahara Group further said players in team sports would share their reward medals.

Managing Worker & Chairman Subrata Roy said: “This reward is a small token of appreciation from us to the sportsmen.”
