Arti Singh placed 31st

Arti Singh shot 66 out of 75, following a series of 23, 20, 23, as she was placed 31st in women’s skeet in the shotgun World Cup in Al Ain, UAE, on Friday. The other Indian shooter, former national champion Saniya Sheikh, shot one point less with a series of 23, 22 and 20, and took the 38th spot in a field of 59 shooters.

The Italians grabbed all the three spots on the podium, with Diana Bacosi and Chiara Cainero grabbing the two Olympic quota places.

The results: Women: Skeet: 1. Diana Bacosi (Ita) 13 (14) 71; 2. Chiera Cainero (Ita) 10 (13) 70; 3. Katiuscla Spada (Ita) 15 (12) 71 31. Arti Singh 66; 38. Saniya Sheikh 65.
