Anthony Amalraj of PSPB continued his indomitable form, picking up his second major title in two weeks, when he won the men's title in the DCPL National-ranking table tennis championship (East Zone) at Bolpur on Sunday.

Top seeded Amalraj, who upset National champion A. Sharath Kamal to win the prestigious all-Indian inter-institutional championship last week at Burnpur, cruised to his second successive title thrashing his Petroleum colleague Subhajit Saha 4-0.

Poulami wins

Poulami Ghatak, the six-time National champion, justified her status winning the women's title. She downed her Petroleum colleague Ankita Das in the final to annex her second title of the season.

Poulami had won the National ranking (North Zone) title last month, but lost to the young Manika Batra in the inter-institutional final.

Ankita went on to win the youth girls' title, while G. Sathiyan, also of PSPB, proved his supremacy in the youth boys' category beating Soumyajit Ghosh of Airport Authority of India.

Abhishek Yadav of Petroleum Academy won the junior boys' title, while Mallika Bhandarkar of Air-India won the junior girls' title.
