India's Ankita Das fought valiantly against World No. 10 Ruochen Gu of China before losing in the quarterfinals of the Volkswagen World junior table tennis championships here on Sunday.
The 18-year-old managed to take two games off the Chinese and came close to forcing a decider before surrendering 3-11, 2-11, 11-7, 8-11, 11-9, 12-14.
With this defeat, the Indian challenge came to an end at the World meet.
