Aleksandrov in sole lead

Second-seeded Aleksej Aleksandrov (Belarus) defeated Marat Dzhumaev (Uzbekistan) to move ahead of the field with 7.5 points after the ninth round of the Parsvnath International chess tournament here on Saturday.

On a day when top-seeded Abhijeet Gupta was surprised by Kerala’s International Master K. Ratnakaran, Germany’s Teski Henrik (7) moved to the second spot.
