Fifth seed Akanksha Salunkhe (Goa) stunned the higher ranked Aishwarya Bhattacharya (Maharashtra) to enter the girls’ u-15 semifinals at the National junior & sub-junior squash championship at the Cricket Club of India on Friday.

Qualifier Krish Kapur (Bengal) upset Vikas Mehra (TN) 3-1 to enter the boys’ u-15 semifinals.

In the CCI-Western India Open being conducted alongside, men’s top seed David Letourneau (Canada) led second seed Mahesh Mangaonkar, Ravi Dixit and Kush Kumar into the semifinals. Favourite Anaka Alankamony (TN) advanced to the women’s and girls’ u-19 semifinals.
