Advani pots billiards title

National billiards champion Pankaj Advani asserted his supremacy over a host of international cueists in winning the billiards title of the ninth PSPB inter-Petroleum championship at Aizawl on Wednesday. He outplayed ONGC teammate Sourav Kothari 4-1 in the best of seven frames final.

He, however, lost to Manan Chandra in the quarterfinals of the snooker event by 0-3 frames. Chandra went on to win the crown downing Devendra Joshi by 4-2 frames.
