Adithya in sole lead

Sadhu S. Adithya from Chennai upset top seed P.R. Hirthickkesh from Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) to finish as sole leader with seven points from seven rounds in the boys’ category in the 27th state under-13 chess championship for boys and girls at AST hall, Meenakshipuram here on Sunday.

Six players are second with six points.

In the girls’ category, A. Harshini of Tiruvarur continued her domination with seven points from seven rounds after defeating L. Jyothsna of Cuddalore.

S. Pooja from Chennai is in second place with six points.
