Lin Wang of China beat Tine Baun of Denmark 21-11, 21-8 to reach the women’s final of the Badminton World Championships.

The former top-ranked Lin also guaranteed China a gold medal since she will play either Wang Xin or Wang Shixian, who are both Chinese.

Lin won the bronze medal at the 2009 worlds.

Defeat for Baun ended a 17-match winning streak. She had been sidelined for four months by an injury before making her comeback at the championships.
