Mumbai Marathon likely to receive 40,000 entries

The Maharashtra Governor, K. Sankanarayanan launched the registration for the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2015 at the Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday. The SCMM 2015, the 12th edition, will take place here on January 18 and physical modes of registration for the full marathon and DHL Corporate Champions categories will close on Saturday, September 20 at the Standard Chartered Bank branches. 

The online applications at website www.procamrunning.in/scmm and post box entries though for full marathon will close on Saturday, November 29 or till the running places are full. In all 4000 running places are on offer for the full marathon and 14,000 for the half marathon.  The Dream Run, including the DHL Corporate Champions categories, will accommodate 20,200 entries, 1500 for senior citizens and 300 for the Champions with Disability event, all adding up to 40,100 entries.
