Vicky Chandhok re-elected

The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) re-elected Vicky Chandhok as its president at its 39th AGM held here on Tuesday. The FMSCI recognised another eventful year with the running of the second Formula One Indian Grand Prix and the 286 other events held under its banner.

The FMSCI Council for the year 2012-13 also decided on the continuation of Dr. Vijay Mallaya as Chairman, and Bharat Raj, vice-president.

And for the first time, the FMSCI will hold its own annual awards ceremony for 2012. It has also decided to play host to all winners of the National championships.

The FMSCI has confirmed that Round two of the 2013 World Superbike championship will be run in India in March 2013.

The grade one Buddh international circuit will undergo a final FIM inspection on January 19-20, 2013, and then play host to high-profile two-wheeler racing. — Special Correspondent
