After its success as one of the support races of the Formula One Indian Grand Prix, the MRF Challenge 2012 will return to the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) for its second round, to be held from November 30 to December 2.
Testing will be done on November 30 before the commencement of the race in the next two days. The series may add two more cars to the grid to make it a competition among 20 drivers.
Drivers like Jordan King, Conor Daly and Luciano Bacheta made their mark last weekend and the association of some drivers with F1 teams like Williams and Marussia reflected the creditability of the MRF Challenge.
“It was great to see the drivers speeding around the course in the MRF Formula 2000 car on the bespoke MRF ZLO tyres we produced for this car. I am looking forward to the rest of the MRF Challenge 2012 in Chennai. We are taking this challenge into 2013 and expand it across the Asian continent, to bring the passion and excitement of this sport to more spectators,” said Arun Mammen, managing director of MRF Limited.
MRF is looking forward to support the Indian drivers by allocating them eight hours testing time and four sets of tyres for the upcoming race weekend.
