The MMSC-FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship will commence on June 1 with the first ‘Rolon Round' at the Kari Motor Speedway at Coimbatore, the organisers said at a press conference on Tuesday.

The subsequent four rounds of the championship will be conducted at the Madras Motor Race Track at Irrungattukottai near Chennai.

New class

This year will witness the introduction of 165cc Group C (limited modification) class for the Open category riders apart from a manufacturer's championship for all classes.

The manufacturer of each competing motorcycle will accumulate points as per the finishing order of the bikes in each race.

The one-make competition scene will see the addition of the TVS-MMSC championship along with the Honda-MMSC and Yamaha-MMSC championships.

“More than 10 National champions will be seen in action alongside many new faces.

“We sure hope to see more of our riders making a mark on the International scene soon,” said Vicky Chandhok, President, FMSCI.”
