India’s Shahaan Engineer completed his 17th round outing in the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup at Zandvoort in the Netherlands on a memorable note in the third race of the weekend clinching his second straight podium finish on Sunday.
He stopped the clock at 19:14.584s for the second place behind ManorMP Motorsport driver Jordan King of Great Britain, who timed 19:13.743s.
Earlier on Saturday too he had a second-place finish. Starting from pole, the 17-year-old Mumbai-born racer delivered a stunning drive with a commanding lead for most part of the race before losing the position in the penultimate lap.
The Fortec Motorsports driver was almost three seconds clear at the front but was blocked on the inside line.
From the top he slipped to second and eventually took the checkered flag in that position.
