The city’s famous Queen’s Necklace (Marine Drive) will see Lewis Hamilton in action in his Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-27 on Sunday, September 16 and provide fans with a first street racing experience.
Vodafone announced here on Wednesday that the Marine Drive will resemble a Formula 1 race track with a grandstand and pit garage, and that some lucky customers will have the opportunity to ride with Hamilton and also the pit garage.

The street race experience in Mumbai is an exclusive event that happens so far only in Monaco and Singapore. We are very happy to bring our customers to get closer to this action.’’
Hamilton stated, “I always love coming to India and I am really excited to be coming to the city of Mumbai this time. I am simply overwhelmed by the incredible excitement shown by the people of this country.
“I had a wonderful experience in Bangalore last year and this year I am hoping that the excitement will be faster, smarter and better in Mumbai.’’
