Ferrari has announced that Fernando Alonso will replace Kimi Raikkonen in the team in 2010.

Ferrari has announced that Fernando Alonso will replace Kimi Raikkonen in the team in 2010.

Ferrari says it has reached an agreement to sign driver Fernando Alonso, replacing Kimi Raikkonen starting next season.

The Formula One team said in a statement that the agreement is for three seasons with the two-time world champion.

Alonso and Felipe Massa will be Ferrari’s drivers next year. Giancarlo Fisichella will act as back-up.

The statement said Raikkonen will leave the team at the end of this current season.
