India's emerging motor racer Armaan Ebrahim clocked the eighth quickest time after escaping unhurt in an incident at Turn six during the Firestone Indy Lights practice session, here on Thursday.
His Fan Force United car made contact with the tyre barrier at Turn six at the Sebring International Speedway.
Severely damaged
The incident left his car severely damaged that could not be repaired in time for the second practice session.
The 22-year-old from Chennai completed 32 laps with a best timing of 59.6408 sec that placed him eighth among nine drivers.
Colombian drivers Gustavo Yacaman (56.4954 seconds) and Sebastian Saavedra (56.5711) occupied the top two positions.
The first round of this year's Indy Lights series will take place at St. Petersburg on the March 23-24 weekend here.
