Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody said he doesn’t have an official status report on lefty Shikhar Dhawan.
“We hope he will join us within the next seven to ten days. He’s a day-by-day situation. He and we have to be patient that he is 100 per cent fit,’’ said Moody at the conclusion of his team’s preparation for the match against Pune Warriors on Wednesday.
Moody who has been the Kings XI Punjab coach for three years said that the Pepsi-IPL VI has been interesting so far and thrown a few surprises.
“Like we tend to see in Twenty20 cricket, there have been unpredictable outcomes. As the tournament progresses we will see consistent performances of individuals and teams.
“From the Sunrisers Hyderabad point of view, if I was asked at the beginning of the tournament, ‘3 wins from 5 matches, would you be happy’, I would probably put a tick in that box.
“Yes, we are pretty comfortable with the start we have had. We know that we can improve, which is what we are exactly looking to do. We endeavour to do that at training and on match-day.
Finally commenting on the pitch at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium he said, “It looks like a good surface. There is a good covering of grass. We should see some reasonable scores tomorrow. It’s a good and big ground and it has a good square.’’
