Hockey India on Monday announced that Wave Group would own the Delhi franchise in the Hockey India League (HIL). It will be its maiden sporting venture.
HI secretary-general and HIL chairman Narinder Kumar Batra said the entry of Wave Group augurs well for hockey.
In addition to Wave, HI has thus far signed up three other business groups — Sahara India for Lucknow, Jaypee Group for Punjab, Patel-Uniexcel Group for Ranchi.
