India finishes ninth

Two goals by striker Rani Devi enabled India beat New Zealand and take the ninth place in the Junior World Cup hockey champioship for women on Saturday. India won 2-0. New Zealand finished 10th.

In other matches, China beat United States 8-2 to take the eighth spot, while South Africa beat Chile 4-0 for the 11-12 places. France beat South Africa 5-3 in the tie-breaker for the 13-14 places.
