Rob Reckers scored twice as the Netherlands beat Germany 4-3 on Saturday at the Champions Trophy men’s field hockey tournament, but the win wasn’t enough to get the Dutch into the gold medal final against Australia.

Germany and the Netherlands finished with 3-2 round-robin records, but Germany’s plus-1 goal difference against the Netherlands’ minus 3 got them into the final.

Earlier, Australia beat Spain 10-3, scoring seven unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes.

Earlier, England scored three second-half goals and won its first match of the tournament, defeating South Korea 4-2. England will play Spain on Sunday for fifth place while the Netherlands and South Korea will play for the bronze medal.
