Hindustan, MOP and SSN take honours

The final day of the Madras District Aquatic Association’s 19th inter-school and third inter-collegiate meet saw Hindustan College of Engineering claim the team championship in the college boys’ category. In the college girls’ category, MOP Vaishnav College and SSN College of Engineering finished jointly at the top.

Among the schools, the overall and girls’ championships were won by Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao School. In the boys’ category, Chettinad Vidyashram triumphed with 33 points.

Inter-district badminton

The Chennai district badminton team will participate in the junior inter-district championship to be held in Salem from August 8 to 12. The senior team will also be seen in action in the State championship at Nagercoil from August 22 to 26.
